The New Contours Options LT

The newest member of the Kolcraft Contours family, the Options LT is lightweight for a tandem stroller. It weighs the least in the Contours tandem series at only 33.8 pounds WITH both seats attached! Now that's pretty darn good for a double stroller.

The new Valencia Gold is absolutely beautiful and you can also choose a Crimson Red color scheme, both gender neutral and lively. Use one or two car seats on this stroller, which makes it a perfect stroller for twins, and most car seat brands fit. One car seat adapter is included with purchase.

I like the seating flexibility. Choose from six different configurations since both seats are removable and reversible. Then the frame has stadium-style seating, which means that the child in the back seat will still have a great view and you won't have to deal with fussing and fighting over the front seat.

The Options LT has wonderful front-end suspension and the larger wheels give a smooth ride and better maneuverability. Introducing the Maclaren Globetrotter

But the seat on this Maclaren stroller does not recline flat, and that is why you'd use it once your baby is over six months old. The Maclaren Triumph, next in the series, can now recline completely flat, enabling newborn use. Now you know why the Globetrotter is in between the Volo and Triumph!

Joovy Scooter Review

This may be the smallest of the Joovy strollers, but the Joovy Scooter works hard. It weighs 18.5 pounds, so it's not super lightweight; think of it as being more hefty to safely hold your child up to 55 pounds. It's the perfect stroller if you want something a little more substantial than an umbrella stroller with a bigger storage basket and other comfort features for both yourself and your child.

I hadn't seen many reviews for the Scooter online, so when I got the opportunity to review one, I jumped on that because I've heard great things about the Scooter. I wanted to experience this unique looking stroller in person and then tell you exactly what I've discovered. Questions lingered in my mind before it arrived such as, "What are the handles really like to use?" and "How big is this stroller because it looks rather small in the pictures."

And I certainly was not disappointed! Joovy has delivered another quality product with features like a big, roomy seat and a large, protective sun canopy for your child. Parents enjoy convenience features like a huge storage basket and cup holder, two things you don't normally get with umbrella strollers. The Scooter is made with quality materials that last.

Maclaren Techno XLR 2012 Updates

Just wanted to alert my readers that I've updated the Maclaren Techno XLR page. I got a YouTube notification that Maclaren uploaded a new video, so of course I had to check it out. It was for the 2012 XLR models; a nice demo video that I've embedded on the review page.

The colors have changed a bit, too. I noticed a blue with light blue accents and beneath the hood as well as blue with yellow (pictured), blue with pink accents, black with champagne, and a white with green accents. I like how the white looks, but can't help but wonder how well it holds up to spills and messes. What do you think?

Not much in design change, but I do notice that the seat on the current model year looks more quilted.

New Baby Jogger City Mini GT

Doesn't the GT look almost exactly like the City Mini? Yes, they look like nearly identical Baby Jogger strollers. But the Baby Jogger City Mini GT has a few more enhanced features than the regular City Mini. Some of these upgrades include a roomier seat, adjustable height handle, and all-terrain forever air tires that take you over all kinds of surfaces.

The canopy is one inch higher up on the frame, giving taller kids lots of extra headroom. And this stroller is made to handle a big child! The GT can hold your child up to 65 pounds! Because of this, it has a higher seatback and from the seat to the footrest is an inch longer than the City Mini. The seat has a bit more padding to support a higher weight limit as well.

Weight-wise, the tires on the GT give the stroller a bit of extra weight and is four pounds heavier than the City Mini. The canopies are pretty much the same as are the safety harnesses and seat recline. While the storage basket and back pocket are both the same, the City Mini GT has an easy-to-use hand brake while the City Mini has a foot brake. The GT also comes in a doubles version for two kids.

In my search for the best umbrella strollers, it became increasingly clear that I'd have my work cut out for me. New Video for the 2012 Inglesina Swift

This is such a green stroller that I had to be very careful about where to shoot the video review for it. Green grass and parks were out of the question because it would be WAY too much green!

So a few days ago, my husband and I found the perfect spot to review the new Inglesina Swift umbrella stroller, right on the San Francisco Bay near a marina. It was a lovely day, but there were some bursts of wind. The wind blew across the microphone in the camera and made a really bad WWHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSHHHHHH sound that could not be taken out in the video editor. Bummer.

Then the next two days were rainy and yucky and finally today we got some nice weather. Hubby and I decided to just stay home for this video as the fences in the background aren't too ugly and go alright with that lovely bright green Swift!

New Inglesina Swift 2012 Stroller Review

If you want a lightweight stroller known for durability, quality and function, then you need to take a look at the Inglesina Swift. This stroller weighs 13 pounds and can carry a maximum weight of 55 pounds. While the Swift doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the pricier umbrella strollers, it does have features that parents rave about.

The Swift has a spacious basket beneath the seat that can hold almost 7 pounds, which is quite big for an umbrella stroller. Parents, you also enjoy tall ergonomic handles and superb maneuverability. The seat reclines in 4 positions and owners give a thumbs up for their child's comfort. Oh, you also get to choose from four colors in the 2012 collection; this one is the bright and sporty Mela green.

Overall ratings are between 4 & 4.5 stars for the larger wheels and better maneuverability. Parents like to take this stroller traveling with them so their child can have a comfortable place to nap.

Quinny Reveals the New Moodd

Presenting the next generation Buzz. Notice that the frame on the beautiful new Quinny Moodd is pretty much the same. The fold and unfold of the Moodd is automatic, just like the Buzz, but the styling and design of this new Quinny stroller is quite eye-catching!

I love the innovative sun canopy and the color combinations. No silver frame on this one! You get either a white frame with pink, grey (natural) or black fabric, or a black frame on red, black, dark blue or dark green. It is stunning! The front belly bar reminds me of a roller coaster ride and it's to give your child that sense of his own space and to have fun.

Your child rides from age 6 months up to a 50-pound weight limit, but the Moodd can also take a Maxi Cosi car seat with the included adapters, or the Dreami Bassinet. You don't have to wait with your newborn! The seat is reversing as well, so your child either faces you our faces outward. I just love it and look forward to the review!

Combi makes a comeback with their newest addition, the Cabria. This stroller is Combi's most appointed with enhanced features such as larger wheels for a smoother ride. The basket beneath the seat is 25% larger than the Cosmo and it sports a larger, expandable sun canopy. A large sun canopy is a must for new strollers these days. More enhanced features include a head-rest pillow and padded shoulder straps on the safety harness.

The Cambria weighs only 13.5 pounds and can hold your child up to an impressive 55 pounds. Combi's patented 3-Second Fold quickly folds your stroller and it is self-standing for convenient storage. Standard features on all Combi strollers include a wide padded multi-position reclining seat with breathable mesh fabric. Combi strollers have gotten some mixed reviews over the last few years. The Combi Flare seems to be holding out OK with 4-star reviews, but the more lavishly appointed Cosmo has suffered only 3½-star reviews.

So when I heard that Combi was releasing the Cabria, I was looking forward to reviewing one so I could see if Combi had improved on the complaints the Cosmo was getting. But I deliberately did not read reviews for other models. I wanted to see the Combi Cabria with fresh eyes.

Stroller Envy Mia Moda Atmosferra Review

Right now, convertible strollers are extremely popular and it's understandable: we love the stylish design and most of all we like the seating options. Modern looking AND functional all in one stroller! Unfortunately, most of these beauties are out of our price range, so I was incredibly pleased when I learned about the Mia Moda Atmosferra because not only is it affordable, but the feedback on it so far have been outstanding. I just had to get it to review!

I took this full-sized Mia Moda stroller on a walk around a nearby university campus with my friend who has a 17-month-old to get her opinion. Another friend of mine has a 3-month-old who got to enjoy a ride. In addition, I took the Mia Moda Atmosferra around the neighborhood with 30 pounds in the seat to test out the maneuverability, bumpy sidewalks and overall performance.

Joovy Zoom Updates

I've added some more details and better photos on the Joovy Zoom review here on Stroller Envy. This is one of the few all terrain strollers that are mid-range in price. Most are either ultra-budget under $200 or well over $300, like the famous BOB Revolution stroller.

Graco has added a new stroller called the Graco UrbanLite! You're going to have to come see the newest of the Graco strollers because it really is amazing looking. Graco has upped the ante and is beginning to create more modern looking products so that they stay a major name in the game.

What does the UrbanLite have to offer? Well, first off, it weighs just under 20 lbs, yet it can hold your child up to 50 lbs. The seat reclines in numerous positions to flat, and can carry your Graco SnugRide infant car seat to make a travel system. Several color schemes offer a matching car seat that you can buy together as a pair for some great savings.

Parents will also enjoy using the UrbanLite with its adjustable-height handle bar and very generous shopping basket. The sun canopy is impressive on this new model as is the tight, compact fold.

I'd like to talk to you today about a stroller company that confounds not only me, but other baby stroller critics such as Denise and Alan Fields of Baby Bargains. We don't quite understand how Baby Trend stays on top of the game with their strollers because they don't change anything. In this week's article on Shopaholic Mommy, I talk about two of their more popular models and how they keep chugging along, ho-hum, on their merry way. No real improvements, changes or makeovers. The first is the Baby Trend Expedition stroller, their three-wheeled all-terrain model, which is real basic. But I tell you, it is a top seller for those who want a decent all-terrain for a fantastic price. The fact that it can carry an infant car seat is a huge plus. Baby Trend DID address an issue of a wobbling wheel, so they tend to take note of consumer complaints. Good on them. Next I talk about the Baby Trend Sit N Stand, their extremely popular stroller and a half. Joovy has become their main competition with their pricier, and better, Joovy Caboose and Joovy Caboose Ultralight, both superb. But for those on a budget, the Sit N Stand wins out. It is a good buy and will do the job well for parents who have either twins or with two small children of different ages.

This was my personal stroller I used with my son for nearly 4 years, so I have lots of experience with the Jeep Liberty. It is one of the best all terrain strollers, especially for the price. Graco Trekko Activity Stroller Review

Presenting Graco's first all terrain stroller, the Trekko. I was excited to see this model come out because I was curious to see how Graco, maker of more traditional strollers and travel systems, would break into the all terrain stroller market.

I had previously owned a Jeep Liberty stroller, and the all-terrain is my personal favorite type. I was looking forward to see how the Graco Trekko would compare because the photos looked so cool!

The Trekko was taken out on a 4-mile walk around the neighborhood, going over sidewalks, a boardwalk near the beach, some sand, grass, and playground wood chips. I took it at different speeds from a brisk walk to jogging and I put 20 pounds in the seat to put it through its paces.

The Britax B-Scene has the same seat as the phenomenal B-Ready, but on a different frame for parents who want a highly maneuverable 3-wheeler.

Like the Britax B-Ready, the B-Scene is also a reversing seat convertible stroller. Remove the seat and install your infant car seat for a lightweight travel system. When your baby is older, place the seat back in either facing you or facing the world.

Parents who love the idea of the B-Ready but who would rather have a three-wheeled option have the perfect solution with the Britax B-Scene. It is basically the same seat on a different frame. This stroller has excellent maneuverability, though it is not a genuine all-terrain like a BOB stroller.

One mommy blogger calls it a "compact, streamlined contemporary urban hybrid" and that's a pretty darn accurate description. The B-Scene is gorgeous to look at, has all the luxury convertible stroller features we want, yet has the three-wheeled all-terrain stroller look for tight maneuverability and less "footprint."

Combi is a Japanese brand that’s been in the US for awhile now and produce compact strollers that are popular for travel and daily errands. However, lately Combi has been discontinuing some models, not improving their current models, and new strollers said to be released this year have not come out. Combi has been disappointing, and I hope they change things around soon. Ever since I began researching strollers, I kept coming across UPPAbaby products. When I tested them they were fabulous and customer reviews were just glowing!
