Britax strollers are finally making their mark by branching out from car seats. The B-series designs are beautiful and have been getting excellent consumer reviews.

Today Britax has branched out into different baby products, including baby carriers and accessories. For several years, Britax strollers have also been on the market, but not with anything noteworthy or remarkable. That is until the B-series came out.

Britax B-Ready

DOUBLES OPTION The Britax B-Ready is both a single or an inline tandem stroller and can be used in 14 different seating configurations. Two seats, two car seats, a bassinet, you can mix and match and face them just the way you like. Of all the Britax strollers, this is a smart one to buy when you've just got one child and are planning another because you won't have to buy a double later on!

As a single, the B-Ready can take a 55 pound weight limit and the second seat on the doubles kit can take a 35-pound weight limit. You will love that the 2nd seat fully reclines AND you can fold the stroller with BOTH SEATS attached. Features like the height adjustable handle bar and ample storage basket beneath the seat are big positives with parents. The B-Ready is also about $180 less than the UPPABaby Vista with more seating options.

Britax B-Agile

Here is a lightweight stroller that is giving the Baby Jogger City Mini a serious challenge. Weighing in at 16½ pounds, this stroller is sturdy and durable as well as attractive. What else makes the B-Agile take a place in the winner's circle? It has a huge sun canopy, a really nice, roomy seat and a compact easy fold that automatically locks.

What do parents like about the B-Agile? Moms say they love the maneuverability of this stroller and that it can go over rather rough terrain, though it is not an all-terrain stroller. Parents also write in to say how much they appreciate the easy fold and the one-handed seat recline. You can also buy lots of accessories to go with this stroller.

Britax B-Scene

Like the B-Ready, the B-Scene is also a reversing seat convertible stroller. Remove the seat and install your infant car seat for a lightweight travel system. When your baby is older, place the seat back in either facing you or facing the world. The seat reclines in three positions and has a no re-thread, adjustable, five-point harness and head pad. This is fantastic because I find it's such a pain re-threading the shoulder straps when baby grows bigger! You simply adjust the straps with a knob in the back of the seat.

The B-Scene is a three-wheeled stroller that has excellent maneuverability, though it is not an all-terrain stroller. One mommy blogger calls it a "compact, streamlined contemporary urban hybrid" and that's a great description. Parents really like the adjustable handle and the storage basket that can actually has enough space to hold a decent amount of your things.

Britax B-Nimble

Are you at the point where your child has grown a bit and don't need or want the big heavy stroller? A lighter weight umbrella stroller does the trick for families who want something simpler and more compact to take out on errands or for travel.

But the Britax B-Nimble is more than just an umbrella stroller. It is fully-featured with tall ergonomic handles that make pushing it quite comfortable for Mom and Dad. The seat reclines, too, something that not a lot of umbrella strollers offer. Additionally, the B-Nimble can accommodate an infant car seat. The only other umbrella model I know that can do that is the Maclaren Techno XLR but the B-Nimble costs $150 less!

Other features include an adjustable leg rest, roomy seat with 5-point harness, parent cup holder, large canopy with sun visor, a 55-pound weight limit and carrying strap. Moms like the easy fold that doesn't require you to use the top of your foot. The automatic lock keeps it all together.

Reviews for this Britax stroller have been rather positive; while there aren't many written reviews on merchant retail sites, mommy blogs are giving the B-Nimble a thumbs-up. Expect to see the Stroller Envy review coming soon.

Britax Chaperone

The only one in the Britax strollers line that isn't a part of the B-series is the Chaperone, which has gotten average ratings from both owners and consumer guides. Features like the easy seat recline and lots of cup holders for both baby and parent have gotten positive remarks. Bloggers and reviewers say that the Chaperone is sturdy and has superb one-handed maneuverability. The standing fold and adjustable handle bar are also big hits.

While the Chaperone gets fantastic reviews for these features, it does get complaints for being too heavy and bulky. The stroller itself weighs 25 pounds. Attach a matching Chaperone car seat and you've got some serious weight to heave around. Others say that the storage basket is smaller than perceived before the purchase.

Customers tend to either give one stars or five, so the jury is still out on this one. Consumer Reports rates the Chaperone at 61% and gives very good marks for ease of use and maneuverability. But safety, surprisingly, only received a fair mark. See more reviews of the Chaperone here.
