The Combi Double StrollerCombi Twin Sport Reviews and RatingsA highly rated Combi double stroller is the Combi Twin Sport, a lightweight side-by-side style. Parents who need a double stroller but don't want to push around a tank or something that won't stand up to the rigors of carrying two children will prefer a Combi double stroller called the Combi Twin Sport. This attractive stroller comes in several color schemes and you can keep the color vibrant because the seats have removable washable covers. Some double strollers cannot fit through standard doorways because of their width, but the Combi Twin Sport can. It is considered a lightweight stroller weighing only 22¼ pounds and because it has only one handlebar, you can easily steer it one-handed. You're going to love all the other benefits this Combi double stroller offers you and your children and by the time you finish reading this you will understand it's gotten 4-star reviews from happy moms just like you. Let's start with all the fabulous features.
Combi Double Stroller Features:
Durability & performanceThe Combi Twin Sport double stroller ![]() Can a newborn ride? The Combi double stroller has a seat wide enough to accommodate a Combi Shuttle 33 car seat If you don't want to use a car seat you can still use this Combi baby stroller because the seat reclines flat and there's an infant enclosure in each seat that you put up to provide your baby with more security. Simply pull out the attached material from underneath the seat's cushion and drape it over the bumper bar. Zip it closed and secure the side tabs with the Velcro. To see a picture of how this looks, see my Combi Cabria page. When the seat is fully reclined for your newborn, you will be pleased to see that the area behind the seat is not open air; instead it is fully enclosed, attached to the top of the seat. The entire seat is enclosed and safe, like a cocoon, for your little one. Tell me more about the seats![]() The seats are padded with breathable mesh fabric on the bottom seat area, your child stays comfy yet cool enough on those hot summery days. For your child's comfort, especially when napping, a head pillow provides additional support. Remove this padding to wash. There's lots of room to grow, too. The photo on the right shows a 2½-year-old girl, weighing 25 pounds. Her feet reach the footrest comfortably and while her head clears the seatback by a few inches, she's got a long way to go before reaching the canopy. Your child has a padded bumper bar with a snack cup on one side and a sippy cup/bottle holder on the other. When you don't need the bumper bar, it's easily removable. I like that I can recline the seat in infinite positions with the pulley system on the back. It is easy to recline and sit back up. What safety features does it have? This Combi double stroller does not skimp on safety features, either. The children each have a five-point safety harness, particularly needed for younger babies and wiggly toddlers. Each seat comes with a removable bumper bar with cup holder, and the brakes are individually activated over the rear wheels. Reflective accents on the carry strap and the stripe around the hood provide you with better visibility during low lit times of day or night. Brakes have something to be desired, however. A stroller at this price should have better brakes that are easier to use. The stroller stops, but man, is it a pain to use. What about sun protection?I love the canopies on the Twin Sport - there are two of them so you can individually adjust them to shade your children, which is very nice if they are at different ages and height; shading one would not shade the other and two canopies solve that problem. Each shade also has a peek-a-boo window so you can keep an eye on your kidlets. ![]() What is the fold like? The fold can be a bit tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes quite easy. A recent review from a mom in Georgia describes the fold very accurately, saying she prefers to fold it flat, without turning the sides in. This makes the stroller about six inches thick, but if you fold in the sides, it's only as wide as a single stroller but about 24 inches thick. You can see the details of the rest of her review here. Make sure that the front wheels are locked straight before folding to avoid damage. While locking the wheels straight is easy to do, I sometimes forget! I do like the stand alone fold, though. More like carefully balanced! How much should I pay for this Combi double stroller?Priced between $231 - $260 it is considered a mid-range double stroller and a good buy. Looking at different web retailers, I have found that Amazon See this relatively new and thorough video review of this Combi double stroller here. What others are saying![]() The general consensus for the Combi double stroller is overwhelmingly positive and nearly unanimous 4-star reviews across various online retailers. Perhaps the most consistent compliment about this stroller is the light weight and compact size. Moms and Dads everywhere say that this Combi double stroller is easy to fold and is very small once it's folded up all the way and they love how little space it takes in the back of their small to mid-sized vehicles. Paula is a mom from North Carolina with 1½ and 3½ year old daughters. She bought the Twin Sport for a flight to Ohio and she said it worked great. She reports that she likes the easy fold, maneuverability and the shoulder strap. Her daughters can get in and out easily with the rotating bumper bars and since each seat reclines individually, they can nap when they're ready. The carrying strap that this stroller comes with has had comments that mention how parents find this convenience very handy. They also write in to say that they can easily fit through standard doors, although the wheels must be straight to do so. A California mom wrote in to say that she went with her family to Ireland and was impressed that it fit through all of the narrow doorways and elevators. She was able to get it in their smaller sized trunk as well. While the maneuverability is praised for this Combi stroller, smooth surfaces such as sidewalks and stores will provide the best ride for both kids and Mom. It is definitely not an all-terrain stroller. Here's more good news: Consumer Reports recently rated the Combi Twin Sport giving it very good marks for ease of use and maneuverability, and a good mark for safety. The Twin Sport comes in a variety of attractive color schemes and parents love the way this stroller looks. DisadvantagesBy far the highest number of complaints about the Combi Twin Sport is the lack of parent cup holders. Another repeated negative comment is about the sunshade canopies - many parents have remarked that they are insufficient and could be larger for better protection. You're also not going to find much for storage in the Twin Sport; even positive reviews comment on the lack of adequate storage under the seats (which are two compartments) and the pouches behind the seats. Some parents will hand a bag over the handle, and the stroller is sturdy enough not to fall backward. Lastly, keep in mind that if you would like to get a car seat for this stroller and turn it into a travel system, it is equipped to handle ONLY ONE car seat. A mother of twin babies bought this stroller and two car seats, only to find out she could not use both car seats. Good for siblings, but not for twin newborns needing the car seats. Where can I buy the Combi Twin Sport? My favorite place to find great deals is on Amazon Another place to try would be Target. Sometimes there are sales and it's the best place to go if Amazon doesn't have the color you want. Buy your Combi Twin Sport today and imagine how much more convenient and enjoyable your outings will be once your new stroller arrives.
