Evenflo Strollers

In 1920, Evenflo began as several small companies, but eventually built a single enterprise that is now one of the leading manufacturers of high quality baby and juvenile products. Evenflo makes products that meet the needs of children from birth to their preschool years including strollers, car seats, play yards, safety gates, high chairs, Snugli® baby carriers and Exersaucers®.

Ever since the company's inception over 85 years ago, Evenflo has developed and earned a solid reputation for it's baby and juvenile products. Parents have come to trust the Evenflo name because they understand the bond between a mother and her new baby. Parents are reassured they are choosing the best for the newest member of the family.

At the time of writing (2010) Evenflo manufactures two stroller lines, the lightweight Journey and the full-featured Aura. Both of these Evenflo strollers come in several colors. Both the Aura and the Journey come as Evenflo Travel Systems, which includes a matching Evenflo Embrace infant car seat. However, the Journey stroller is largely unavailable anywhere, so the Aura is reviewed instead.

Evenflo Aura Stroller

Of the two Evenflo strollers, The Aura is the better rated; it's a mid-sized stroller with lots of amenities for both parent and child. Features convenient for the adults include a handy storage spot for baby wipes, keeping the wipes from drying out.

Parents also get a full sized console with two cup holders. A large storage basket under the seat provides ample space for all your things you need to take along. Folding is a snap and can be done one-handed as it folds upward, so you don't have to bend down to pick it up afterward.

Evenflo Journey Stroller

The Evenflo Journey stroller is popular because of its light weight at only 20 pounds.

Some of the features are excellent, bringing comfort to your baby and convenience for Mom. It has a large storage basket beneath the seat, a removable child's snack tray and parent's console tray. The extra-wide handle at the top makes steering easier and the Journey has great maneuverability.

However there are some downsides. The user reviews are consistently only one and two stars: the main complaint is about the wheels. They either squeak excessively, even when lubricated with WD-40, or the wheels fall off completely!

The other downside is that the Journey is not widely available. Reviews are a year old and older and most online retailers don't carry this line of Evenflo strollers any longer. The Evenflo Journey Embrace travel system is more widely available through Sears, Kmart and WalMart as well as Amazon, but there are no reviews for this product yet.
